It is specially designed for off-line and DC-to-DC converter applications with minimal external components. These integrated circuits feature a trimmed oscillator for precise duty cycle control, a temperature compensated reference, high gain error amplifier, current sensing comparator, and a high current totempole output. Ideally suited for driving a power MOSFET. In addition to the general protection function of PWM IC, FAN7554 has various protection function such as Over Load Protection, Over Current Protection, Over Voltage Protection, which include Built-in auto-restart circuit, and Over Current Latch. Moreover, it corporates on-off control circuit and soft start circuit.
